Talent Search Exam Guideline 2025-2026
The West Bengal Shine Teacher of Education is proud to announce its Talent Search Exam! This exciting opportunity is open to students in grades 3 to 10 (all boards).

Date & time of the exam
Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 12 noon to 1:30 pm.

Wednesday, July 30th, 2025

Eligibility
Students from class 3 to class 10 of any board can participate in this exam. This exam will be conducted through Bengali and English versions.

Exam Mode
Offline and Online (1.5 hours offline, 1 hour online)

Marking Scheme:
Total marks – 80 (20 marks each for English, Math, and General Mental Ability; 20 marks for GK). 80 Questions X 1 Marks(for each correct answer) = 80 Marks

Every correct answer will add 1 Mark. Every Wrong answer will deduct 1 Marks
Award and Scholarship Announcement

Participation Rewards
All students scoring 50% or above will receive a medal and certificate in recognition of their achievement.

Scholarship Eligibility
Students scoring above 60% will be considered for the scholarship program. Eligible candidates will receive a medal, certificate, and a cash reward of Rupee 1,000.

Top Performer Rewards
Students securing the highest marks based on 80% observation criteria will be awarded either a monthly stipend of Rupee 1,000 or a one-time payment of Rupee 10,000.

Excellence Award
Among the students who score above 90%, the one with the highest overall marks will receive a laptop. In the case of online students, a tablet will be provided instead.

Class-Wise Toppers
Special prizes will be awarded to the top scorers in each class. This applies to every participating school.

Online Exam Recognition
Candidates scoring 60% or above in the online exam will be invited for a 10-minute video interview. Those who qualify will receive a bag, medal, certificate (including an e-certificate), and a digital book (D.Book) as a reward.
